ATLAS ORTHOGONAL INSTRUMENT

The Atlas Orthogonal Adjusting Instrument was developed by Dr. Roy Sweat to precisely adjust the atlas. The instrument delivers a compressional shock wave through a metal stylus by the means of a pressure controlled actuator. These compressional shockwaves or adjustments are based on the specific biomechanical changes analyzed from patient x-rays.

The instrument allows Dr. Nygaard to adjust the atlas subluxation with the highest degree of precision used in all of chiropractic while using a force of 3-6 lbs. Many other chiropractic adjustments techniques use 40 to 50 pounds of force.

Dr. David Asks some important questions of interest to Asheville residents - Chiropractor Asheville Dr. David Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
Why do so many drugs require a prescription?
Because they can be dangerous? I chose a chiropractic career specifically because it avoids artificial means of pain relief. Our Asheville chiropractic practice attracts health-conscious families that prefer a safe and natural solution. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
