Your First Visit to Our Asheville Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

You can complete your paper work on-line, bring in the completed forms, or fill them out in the office. Dr. Nygaard will review your background materials before he meets with you. Prior to performing a chiropractic examination, Dr. Nygaard, will further discuss your history and develop an in-depth understanding of the condition that brought you to the office.

If a vertebral subluxation is found during the chiropractic exam, Dr. Nygaard will recommend that radiographs (x-rays) be taken. Atlas Orthogonal requires an in-depth analysis of spinal mechanics which allows for precision light force correction, unlike traditional chiropractors. Advanced analysis of the radiographs and review of the examination are distinguishing factors of Dr. Nygaard’s care.

Dr. Nygaard performs an advanced analysis of your radiographs

Before you leave, we will schedule a follow up appointment with Dr. Nygaard for you to receive the results of the radiographs and your diagnostic assessments. You will be sent home with a video or DVD that will provide information about the technology and science of Atlas Orthogonal (AO). Viewing the video will help orient you for your first adjustment.

Asheville chiropractic patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!

Dr. David Asks some important questions of interest to Asheville residents - Chiropractor Asheville Dr. David Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
Why do so many drugs require a prescription?
Because they can be dangerous? I chose a chiropractic career specifically because it avoids artificial means of pain relief. Our Asheville chiropractic practice attracts health-conscious families that prefer a safe and natural solution. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
